Introduction

The Entry tab is used to support the setting of order placing conditions. Users can configure the conditions for Buy and Sell orders separately. FXCE Giga executes the conditions in the form of a comparison expression between the left side (Left Operand) and the right side (Right Operand) through the comparison (Comparison).

In addition to icons that perform Add/Delete each condition, FXCE Giga also supports Delete or Copy the entire condition table using the functions in the Tools Menu.

The condition tables operate simultaneously in 2 modes Basic and Full (full comparison options). Users can choose the display mode with the Table Mode button to suit their specific needs.

To create a condition, click the button in the left corner of the condition panel. For each condition, there will be types of entities and components corresponding to that type of entity.

Entities used to facilitate conditions in the Entry tab

These entities are classified (by Type column) as Candle, Object, Indicator, P&L Info, Position Info, History Info, Pending Order Info, Market Info, and Entry Type.

Candle

Allows setting the comparison conditions related to the components of the Candle such as closing/opening price, high/low price, length of the candle body, length of the whole candle, and shadow (candle wick),...

See details of candle components here.

Object

Object includes entities plotted on the price chart. Currently, FXCE Giga supports 3 types of Objects including Horizontal Line, Trendline, Rectangle. FXCE Giga will automatically update the Name column when these entities are added to the price chart.

Indicator

Similar to Object, FXCE Giga will automatically identify technical indicators on the Chart and update it in the Name column.

Market Info

Market Info provides options regarding the price of the traded product on the Chart:

  • Spread: The difference between bid and ask (buying/selling price)

  • Daily Change (%): % price increase or decrease compared to the previous day.

  • Bid: Selling price.

  • Ask: Buying price.

Position Info

Details of Position Info’s components can be found here.

Pend. Order Info

Select History Info to customize the parameters

Select the parameters in the Value section

Details of History Info’s components can be found here.

Entry Type

Entry Type used to distinguish between Market/Pending order types, traders use these to determine the type of order to place. For lines with an Entry Type declaration, FXCE Giga will not check the comparison condition.

Details of Entry Type’s components can be found here.

Examples

As mentioned in the previous lesson, the Crossing trading system will be used as an example to illustrate this lesson. Conditions for placing a Buy order are as follows:

  1. A bullish candle appears

  2. Candle body crosses EMA(21) and closes above EMA(21)

First, add the EMA (21) into the chart, then open FXCE Giga, and select the Buy condition table to create the following line of conditions for the Buy order.

  • A bullish candle appears -> a bullish candle is a candle where the closing price (Close) of candle 1 is greater than the opening price (Open) of candle 1.

  • Candle body crosses EMA(21) and closes above EMA(21). Under this condition, there are two ways to do this:

Method 1:

Method 2: FXCE Giga supports implicit checking (Has Signal, Cross Up/Down) to help users simplify setting up conditions.

Click the disk icon on the FXCE Giga toolbar to save the EA configuration with the name Crossing.

The Sell order can be done by switching to the Sell condition table and do the same with the opposite condition for the Sell order.
